Heather Polson

From high school to college former Jefferson County North Charger, Heather Polson has been a consistent performer in the high jump in track and field and at Emporia State she has put together a strong college campaign in the event.
Now in her senior year Polson has been a strong performer for the Emporia State Hornets track and field team competing in the high jump. In the current Outdoor season she most recently took third in the high jump at the MIAA vs. NSIC Showdown with a leap of 5’03. While she had jumps of 5’01 at both the ESU Spring Invite and ESU Relays in the Outdoor season also and finished eighth and 11th, respectively in those events.
Her Indoor season saw an eighth or ninth place finish in four of the five meets Polson competed in. During her Hornet career Polson has recorded 25 Top 10 finishes in the high jump and five Top five finishes with her best leap being 5’03.25 recorded during the 2016 season.
Back in high school as a JCN Charger Polson was a four-time State qualifier and registered a fifth place finish in the high jump in Class 2A her senior year and won the 2A State title in the high jump (5’02) her junior year. Polson also medal in the high jump her sophomore and freshman years placing second and seventh. She also competed at State on the Charge 4x400 meter relay and was a multi-sport athlete at JCN.
Polson looks to finish strong at Emporia State and leap past the competition.
