Centralia Girls and Nemaha Central Boys win NC Invitational

The Centralia girls and Nemaha Central boys won the Nemaha Central Invitational cross country event on Thursday afternoon at Spring Creek Golf Course. 

Starting with the girls, five different schools were represented in the top five finishes led by Nemaha Central's Maddy Mosteller who won the event with a time of 21:50.40. 

Keelyn Rempe of Centralia finished in second place followed by McKenzie Baker of Washington County, Brooklyn Schmelzle of Valley Falls, and Belle Smith of Doniphan West to round out the top five. 

Following Centralia in the team standings was Maur Hill-Mount Academy in second place followed by ACCHS, Nemaha Central, Valley Falls, Axtell, and Troy. 

Xavier Gresham of St. Marys Academy won the boys event with Gavin Shaughnessy of Axtell finishing in second place. 

Titus Cobb of Blue Valley-Randolph finished in third place while Nemaha Central's Lane Mosteller finished in fifth place. 

Following Nemaha Central in the team standings was Axtell in second place followed by St. Marys Academy, Centralia, Horton, Washington County, Jackson Heights, ACCHS, Maur Hill-Mount Academy, and Onaga.
