Regional golf tournaments were held on Monday, Oct. 14th with area teams competing in McPherson and Osage City.
Holton would finish in fifth place at the 4A regional in McPherson at Turkey Creek as they finished with a team score of 402.
The Wildcats were led by Elisa Bartel as she finished in 18th place with a round of 94 while Amanda Taylor finished in a tie for 23rd with a round of 101.
McPherson won the tournament followed by Hayden and Buhler.
Silver Lake dominated the field and won the 3-2-1A regional in Osage City as they finished with a team score of 356.
The Eagles had the top three placers with Taylor Zordel winning the tournament with a round of 81. Kailyn Hanni finished runner-up with a score of 82 and Hope Thornton finished in third place with a round of 92.
Jefferson West would finish runner-up behind the Eagles as they tallied a team score of 394. The Tigers were led by Katelin Lohmann who finished in fourth place with a round of 93.
Izzy Higgins would finish in sixth place and Taryn Taylor would finish in a tie for 11th place.
State golf tournaments are set to be held Oct. 21-22 with 4A being held in Hesston and 3-2-1A being held in Emporia. More information regarding state golf can be found here.
