Senior William Boeh Helps Troy Trojans Start Basketball Season 3-0
William Boeh

It was a hot start to the season for the Troy Trojans boys squad as they started the year 3-0 taking down Maur Hill-Mount Academy, Doniphan West and Riverside in the Northeast Kansas Shootout round robin tournament.

While the Trojans utilized multiple guys having successful games to top their opponents it was senior Williams Boeh providing leadership and the being the leading scorer in two of the three games to help the Trojans start the year with a 3-0 mark.

In the season opener the Trojans needed overtime to take care of Maur Hill, 58-55 and Boeh only had three points and three rebounds but helped his team start the season off on the right side of the foot.

The senior burst on the scene in the next two games to lead the charge for the Trojans tallying team highs of 16 and 19 against Doniphan West and Riverside, respectively. In the win over Doniphan West William couldn’t miss as he went a perfect 7-7 from the floor and hit both of his free throws on the night for his 16 points, while snatching six rebounds to add to his night.

That strong performance propelled Boeh to another on Saturday against Riverside as the Trojans beat the Cyclones 57-51, with the senior tallying 19 points on 7-11 shooting and 3-3 from the charity stripe, while again grabbing six rebounds.

Strong start to the season for the Trojans has come from the fact the team has had multiple guys set up early to start the season and senior, William Boeh has help lead the charge with averages of 12.6 ppg, and 5 rpg in the first three games, while shooting 62% from the floor in the process.

The Trojans look to journey and compete in a tough Twin Valley League this year as they join the league this season and Boeh and company will look to continue their hot play from the start of the season.
