The Falls City Tigers are off to a fast start this season notching four wins, to start the year 4-0 and are currently ranked 10th by the Lincoln Journal Star.
Last week the Tigers took on Atchison (KS) and Auburn earning 71-45 and 61-45 wins and helping lead the way was three-year senior starter, Jack Hartman. Hartman set the tone early against Atchison swiping three balls early in the game and the Falls City defense disturbed Atchison’s flow all night. Jack not only played solid defense but led that team in scoring posting a season high 20 points, adding eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals to that stat line before the game was over.
Hartman finished off the week by helping Falls City earn that 61-45 win over Auburn, posting 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. In the Tigers other two games of the year the senior posted 11 and nine points, versus Syracuse and Tri County, respectively.
The three-year starter is off to a great start this season averaging 14.8 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, 3.5 spg and 1.0 bpg, while shooting 60% from the floor (24-40) and going 11-17 from the free throw line.
The Tigers have their sights set on another successful season and the great play of Hartman and his teammates will be crucial for Falls City success throughout the season.
