Will Bruna

The Hanover Wildcats have taken on all comers so far this season and taken them down to the tune of a 13-0 record and Twin Valley League tournament title. It hasn’t always been easy all season but the Wildcats have maintained their unblemished record and continue to be ranked number one in Class 1A-Division I.
The teams playing making ability depth has helped propel them to this point of the season and one of those key players with great play making ability is sophomore, Will Bruna. Bruna has been solid all year and has posted his best two offensive games this year in two of the team’s last three games. Fresh off the TVL Tournament championship, a game in which Will posted a season high 23 points in the overtime win over Washington County, the Wildcats play at Washington County last Tuesday and picked up the 55-49 win. Bruna followed his 23 point performance up with 22 points, hitting four three-pointers in the contest. After that the Wildcats turned their attention to Axtell and the Eagles had them on the ropes in the first half until Hanover took over in the second half and Will posted 11 points to lead Hanover in the game; scoring all his points in the second half.
On the year multiple guys have led the charge for the Wildcats but the sophomore has definitely left his imprint on the team so far averaging 13.5 ppg this year and scoring double figures in nine of the teams 13 games this year.
The Wildcats have their sights set on a return to the State tournament and the success of Bruna while continue to be just one of many keys that push Hanover through the rest of the season.
