Set to continue his baseball career next year at Benedictine College, Maur Hill-Mount Academy senior, Noah Baniewicz is looking to put together a strong senior season to cap his high school career and he’s started the season strong.
The Ravens are 4-1 on the diamond this year with a win over Perry Lecompton, a split with Oskaloosa and sweep of Pleasant Ridge most recently. Against the Rams in 10-0 and 18-2 wins Baniewicz put together some strong performances on the diamond. Baniewicz was on the mound in the 10-0 win and tossed a six inning not-hit shutout earning the win while giving up just two walks and striking out five and also went 1-3 at the plate with a run scored and RBI. In the 18-2 victory Noah posted a 2-4 showing at the plate with his two hits both being home runs and tallied three RBI’s and two runs scored in the contest.
On the season in five games the Maur Hill-Mount Academy senior is batting .625 with 10 hits, seven RBI’s, three doubles, two home runs, four walks and four stolen bases. While being 3-0 on the mound tossing 14 innings and giving up just three hits and eight walks and only one unearned run on the season and notching 13 strikeouts.
Baniewicz looks to continue to build upon his hot start to the season and with the help of his teammates the Ravens look to have a strong year on the baseball field.
