Nathan Buss

Jeff West Tigers have put together a strong season on the baseball diamond and are riding a wave of momentum at the end of the regular season sitting at 15-1 with a 15-game winning streak.

While the Tigers have played some great team baseball the play of senior, Nathan Buss has helped lead the charge. Jeff West last week went 4-0 picking up Big Seven League wins over Perry Lecompton and Holton. Against the Kaws, Jeff West earned the 6-1 and 7-3 wins and Buss finished the doubleheader going 4-7 with three RBI’s, two runs scored, a double and walk. The Tigers handled Holton with a 15-6 and 10-3 wins and Buss was 3-5 in the doubleheader with five runs scored, three RBI’s, a double, home run and four walks.

On the season Buss has been strong at the plate and leads the team in most offensive categories. Nathan has 19 hits including five doubles and two home runs on the season in 16 games with 22 run scored and 22 RBI on a .413 batting average, while also drawing 17 walks. The Tiger senior has 64 at bats this season and only has struck out five times.

With one more doubleheader left in the regular season against Silver Lake the Buss and the Tigers are looking continue their momentum this season and gear up for run in the postseason.
