If there’s one thing throughout Northeast Kansas that’s for sure it’s that if you can put up numbers in the Twin Valley League on the basketball floor that shows you are not only one of the best players in NE Kansas but the entire state as well.
For Blue Valley senior Brooklyn Zoeller she has done that this season and last week went over the 1,000-point mark for her career while also committing to further her career at the next level in committing to Fort Scott Community College.
Zoeller accomplished the point total in the Rams 58-45 win at Onaga on Friday as she scored a game-high 20 points while shooting 7-of-9 from the free throw line.
On the season Zoeller is averaging just over 15 points per game while averaging 5.8 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.6 assists per night.
She has gone over 20 points four times this season including scoring 24 points twice in a win over Troy and a loss to Doniphan West.
She was named a first-team all-Twin Valley League selection a year ago and is well on her way to earning the same honor this season.
Zoeller has the Rams 9-9 on the year with just two games remaining in the regular season beginning with a road game at Centralia on Tuesday.
