For the past six seasons the Maur Hill-Mount Academy baseball team has dominated the Northeast Kansas League winning the league title in four of the six years including another one this season after the Ravens swept Pleasant Ridge last week.
The two wins capped off a 4-0 week for MH-MA who also swept ACCHS behind a pair of strong pitching performances from sophomore Parrish Beagle who wrapped up two wins on the week.
Against ACCHS in a 15-0 Raven win, Beagle threw all four innings allowing just four hits while striking out 11 of the 17 batters he faced.
He followed that up with four more shutout innings in a 15-0 win over Pleasant Ridge where he struck out five more and allowed just two hits.
On the season Beagle is 3-1 on the mound with a 0.58 ERA as he has allowed just two earned runs in 24 innings pitched with 45 strikeouts and zero walks allowed.
Perhaps the most impressive stat is that in the 24 innings that he has pitched, he has only given up 13 total hits and had six appearances where he did not allow a single hit.
Beagle has also been strong at the place this season for the Ravens as he is hitting .429 with 28 RBIs, 34 runs scored, two home runs and 20 stolen bases.
He has collected multiple hits in eight games this season and has only struck out four times in 68 plate appearances.
Beagle has made a strong case for all-league and even all-state honors this season and will look to lead MH-MA to a deep playoff run as the 17-1 Ravens have just one regular season game left before regionals May 17 and 18.
