Caleb Worthington

Our athlete of the week is Caleb Worthington of the Jefferson County North football team. 

The Chargers continued their run in the postseason with a 48-8 victory over Troy last Friday night to advance to Sectional’s where they’ll face Class 1A #1 Olpe this Friday night.

Against Troy, Worthington had 19 rushes for 117 yards and three touchdowns along with two 2-point conversions.

Caleb started the season at wide receiver but made the transition to running back in the middle of the season.

On the season, Caleb has tallied 73 rushes for 579 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging nearly eight yards per carry.

He’s also added 12 receptions for 179 yards and two more scores. On defense, Caleb has added 45 tackles, five pass break ups and four interceptions.

Caleb is a three-year starter for JCN and was 2nd Team All-League last season.
