The Centralia girl’s basketball team won the Twin Valley League Tournament on Saturday as the Panthers stay perfect at 10-0.
Lena Haverkamp was clutch in the Semi-Finals and Championship game. In the Semi-Final win over Doniphan West, Haverkamp led all scorers with 17 points as Centralia won that game by 22.
In Saturday’s Championship game against 2A #2 Valley Heights, she hit a go ahead three pointer with 14 seconds left which turned out to be the game winner in a 42-40 win.
Through 10 games this season, Lena is averaging 10 points, four rebounds and two steals per game.
She was also Second Team All-League in volleyball this past season.
