Sophie Waters

Jefferson West wrestler Sophie Waters has started her 2023-2024 season undefeated as she’s coming off a tournament win at ACCHS over the weekend.

Sophie won the 120-pound weight class and won her final match of the tournament by pinfall to improve to 10-0 this season. She has two wins already this season over girls who defeated her last year and has another tournament win under her belt at Onaga.

Last year as a freshman, Sophie went 30-12 and finished regional runner-up and made it to the State Tournament.

Her coach says that Sophie is a great asset in the practice room and is blossoming into a leader.
