The 2024 Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches Senior All-Star Game will showcase some of the top baseball athletes across the entire state throughout all classifications.

The game will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5th at Riverfront Stadium in Wichita.

Atchison will have a pair of players suit up to represent the Phoenix one final time. Catcher Jeter Purdy and middle infielder Boston Bruce will be playing in the game after helping the Phoenix to a 19-3 season and a regional final appearance. They will both play for the Navy team coached by Ron Hill from Pratt High School.

On the Powder Blue team, Sabetha has a pair of athletes playing, pitcher Christian McAfee and designated hitter Jacob Grimm will rep the Bluejays for a final time. The Bluejays made it to the state tournament again this past spring with a final record of 19-6. Sabetha made an improbable run in the Jefferson West regional tournament with a dramatic seventh-inning comeback against Jeff West in the semifinals and knocking off then-unbeaten Bishop Ward in the championship game.

Zac Evans will represent Valley Falls on the Powder Blue team as well. The Dragons made the Class 2-1A state tournament with Evans providing a ton of clutch hits and big innings on the mound including pitching in all three regional tournament games in Atchison. He got the save in their 7-6 win over Kansas City Christian to punch their ticket to Great Bend.
