Tramp Drives in Four to Help Sabetha Defeat Seneca in Legion Play

The Sabetha legion baseball team went on the road and beat Seneca 8-4 on Wednesday night. 

Sabetha (4-1) scored all eight of their runs in innings two, three, and four. They scored four runs on four hits in the second inning highlighted by a two-RBI single from Ike Tramp and an RBI single from Andre Dalinghaus. The other run in the inning was scored on an error. 

They added two runs in the third inning on another two-RBI single from Tramp and then the two runs in the fourth inning was on a two-RBI double off the bat of Jeyton Meyer. 

Seneca (2-1) Got their first run of the game in the fourth inning as Jack Macke scored on an error. They would add three runs in the sixth which included an RBI single by Aden Feldkamp. 

Seneca had multiple chances throughout the game as they loaded the bases twice in the first two innings but were unable to scratch across any runs. For the game, they would leave 11 left on base. 

Isaac Hartter, Dalinghaus, and Will Ulrich combined to pitch all seven innings for Sabetha with Ulrich getting the last four outs which included striking out the side in the seventh inning. Derek Wurtz pitched four scoreless innings for Seneca and struck out five. 

Tramp was named the McDonald's of Hiawatha and Seneca Player of the Game as he finished 2-for-3 with four RBI's. 

Sabetha finished the game with eight runs, eight hits, two errors, and they left four on base. Seneca finished the game with four runs, four hits, one error, and they left 11 on base.
